My attempt at the calla lily dress inspired by @Sammiestheone. I hope you like it!! I interpreted this as a flowy gown with a wrap skirt. The calla lily is an elegant flower so I designed an evening gown. I love the colour gradient so I chose champagne as the base and dip dye it from there. It was a lot harder than I thought because I wanted the ombré on a diagonal which meant the bathtub was the best option (don’t recommend btw)😅 it took a while to fill it with enough boiling water and I had to hold it in the right position for 40mins. It didn’t come out as bright since I couldn’t maintain the boiling temperature needed for this fabric. Next time I’ll know to keep adding boiling water or to use a natural fibre instead. Regardless, I’m happy how it turned out and like the subtle pink train! #fashiondesign #satindress #sewingasmr
