I thank God every day for all the little things that lined up to get me exactly where I’m meant to be (whether I always understand it or not). #butterflyeffect #godisgood #littlethings #fate
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. I recorded this a while back, at a time when it captured exactly how I felt. I was struggling to move—let alone get out of bed. Mentally, I was waltzing with nihilism. As someone who’s battled depression for decades, I know how hard it is to put into words what’s happening in your mind—especially when you don’t fully understand it yourself. But for the chemically balanced, let me try. Depression comes in waves. It can feel out-of-body, isolating, paralyzing. Numb. Disconnected. Suffocating. Like falling slowly through a never-ending liminal space. Like not wanting to be here—or anywhere. Before the month ends, I just want to say: To anyone struggling with mental health— I see you. You are not alone. Persevere. The light is always worth enduring the night. #MentalHealthAwareness #depression #mentalhealthmatters
