The warm welcome I received coming into @fourseasonsyachts is something that will stay with me. It's their ethos of living the Golden Rule and that's how I know I'm in the right place. And speaking of "place", you might be wondering "what does a captain do in the shipyard this far in advance of the vessel's delivery"? Keeping in mind that @fourseasonsyachts is a start-up, that means that most things, from policies, procedures, processes to systems are a bespoke set-up, which means we get a hand in making it "ours". This is one of the things that intrigued me about this project. It's also a very humbling experience to move from the comfort of knowing how everything flows to figuring out something as simple as what new acronyms mean. I always say, you have to be comfortable being uncomfortable by pushing yourself outside your bubble. It's the only way to learn. This is a test of leadership. It’s appreciating different styles and approaches while understanding how we all contribute to the ultimate goal of delivering unbelievable experiences for our guests & crew!
