My buddy @southernsharksteeth and i were metal detecting the site where an early plantation once stood that was abandoned by 1750. We ended up finding the homes old trash-pit and made some pretty amazing finds! The coolest in my opinion is the early salt glaze “tankard” mug. Stay tuned to see what else we find! #fyp #history #metaldetecting #bottles #mudlark
Part 2 of digging in the colonial trash-pit! We found some pretty amazing stuff this time including the remains from an early 18th century flintlock pistol 🏴☠️! Stay tuned to see what else we find and preserve from this early trash pit! #fyp #explorepage #history #metaldetecting #piratesofthecaribbean #satisfying #colonial
While doing some metal detecting where i suspect an early plantation once stood, i found some pretty neat artifacts scattered about! Im fairly confident this place was completely abandoned by 1800. #fyp #metaldetecting #history
Recently @southernsharksteeth and I have been sifting the remnants of a Colonial trash pit dating from the time period 1700 to 1740. We have made many incredible finds but here are few from this specific afternoon. Paste stone cufflinks such as the mesmerizing blue stone example shown in the video were popular in the early 18th century, as we find them quite often at these sites. Another interesting find was the silver earring which we believe was traded possibly by Native Americans. The final and most incredible find was the early Flintlock rifle mechanism which we we currently are preserving with the process of electrolysis! As always, stay tuned! #fyp #explorepage #history
