Replying to @fran.cat37 we get better with age don’t you think Some think that beauty has a deadline. That it belongs to the young, the flawless, the untouched. But they’re wrong. So very wrong. Because real beauty—our beauty—doesn’t fade. It deepens. It grows richer, wiser, more powerful with every year we live. There is beauty in youth, yes. But there is also beauty in age. There is courage. There is confidence. There is a fire that no one can put out. I wear my age like a crown, not a curse. Because with each year, we do not disappear. We become more. More radiant. More rooted. More beautiful than ever before.
The year was 1990. My grandparents, 3 buas and their families and our family lived in the same apartment complex (different apartments) and we would get together at my grandparents house almost every weekend for dinner and a dance party. #growingupinthe90s #immigrantparents #immigrantfamilies
