✨3 years on and I'm still so happy with my hallway floor that I painted 🎨🖌️ It's not original floor boards or in good enough condition to sand (before the hate comments roll in) And trompe-l’œil is actually a very traditional technique used throughout history 😜 I've done a couple of touch ups over the years but this floor has been through a bathroom renovation and the entire dining room floor restoration, and held up really well considering! I used @RustOleum in 'Natural Charcoal' and 'Tanglewood' in their floor paint, and 'After Dinner' for the green walls. Ad 🥦 I’ve always loved Malachite, and this colour from Paint & Paper Library's Jewels collection is perfect (and period appropriate) for my Victorian home. The collection features eight vibrant new colours, each one derived from rare and semiprecious minerals. This project included adding back details like plaster cornice, hand painted stripes and removing the dreaded textured ceiling (very lucky that it was done over paper so it came off easily!). My favourite bit was learning another name for Malachite is ‘Forbidden Broccoli’ and the paint coverage speaks for itself!
