The right way to deep clean your kitchen: Part 1 (instructions below) 1) Top-Down Method: Clean from the top and work your way down to the floors. This method is the most efficient and ensures you won’t miss any surface areas. 2) Start by dusting and cleaning all upper cabinets, the oven hood and light fixtures. 3) Next, clean the backsplash, windows, and countertops. 4) Move to the stove top, remove any burner parts and let them soak in hot water (I like to use dishwasher pods as they fight grease and grime). Spray down the stovetop with Dawn power wash, and then spray the inside of the stove with a degreaser. Let both cleaners sit and breakdown grease while you turn to cleaning the stovetop burners. Once complete, finish scrubbing the stove (inside and out) and return the stovetop items to their place. 5) Next, clean the fridge, dishwasher, microwave and any small appliances (not shown here, but will be shown in part 2). 6) Disinfect the sink, sink faucet nozzle and garbage disposal. 7) Finally mop floors (not shown here, but will be shown in part 2).
